Cop nicked in Poker Robbery, Gambling DNA & EU steps in on gaming laws

In a bizzare case a State Police trooper has been arrested following an armed robbery of a high stakes poker game. The cop has been charged with 11 counts, including first-degree robbery, second-degree conspiracy, possession of a firearm during a felony, wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony & offensive touching (whatever that means).

The European Commission has blocked France from enforcing a UIGEA-like draft decree aimed at blocking payments to online gambling firms. France’s 2007 Delinquency Act was designed to protect French gambling monopolies PMU and Francaise des Jeux.
