FullTilt & PokerStars New Poker Software

August 6, 2009

Both Full Tilt Poker and Poker Stars, the two biggest poker sites in the world, have upgrades of their poker software coming out.

The Full Tilt Poker software upgrade came out first, last Thursday to be precise. It features a natty new lobby (optional, so that players who prefer the classic lobby look and feel can stick with what they know) that includes a variety of convenient filters and favorites for making it easier than ever to find the table you seek.

And among its many other improvements, the new FullTilt software finally includes a long-awaited deal-making options for tournament play (also known as “tournament chops”), a feature made more notably lacking in the previous FullTilt software version by its inclusion in competing poker sites’ software, including PokerStars.

Which brings us to the Poker Stars software upgrade, which at the moment is at the stage of a very widespread rumor. One feature PokerStars players are particularly clamoring for is synchronized breaks (a feature included, incidentally in the new FullTilt Poker software). Also expected is for Mixed Holdem/Omaha – which has made it onto the PokerStars 2009 WCOOP schedule – to be added to the PokerStars cash game options. According to these same rumors, a beta version with banking options in Euros will be out any time now. And players at lower-stakes tables may soon be able to create Private Tables like their higher-stakes PokerStars brethren already can.

Once again PokerStars and FullTilt Poker remain neck-and-neck competitive by continuing to roll-out the newest features players desire as soon as that need is made apparent.
