If your at the top of the professional game (which admittedly Phil Helmuth is) then you really have to think about your image, or maybe just decide you want to look like and behave like a spoilt brat. Having made yoru bed you’ve got to lye in it and boy has Helmuth made his bed. While he might be one of the best poker tournament players in the world … he has an ego the size of a cruise ship and totally sucks at cash game play.

When your at a table with a bunch of other pro’s who totally know his weakness is his overwelming belief in himself and his own total perfection … they’re going to exploit every time.

At the end of it all he just comes over as a self opinionated arrogant tw@t who no-one is going to feel sorry for when he messes up or gets a bad beat. If you want to be liked, learn some humility … Phil Helmuth’s daily morning mantra should be … I am not God, I am good at poker, but I am NOT God.
