World Series 2005 first hand - Farha v Hudson
May 16, 2007
To restart our favourite YouTube poker videos posts again it seems appropriate to open with the most watched / most popular / most rated YouTube poker video ever …
If you haven’t seen this classic piece of poker footage then you must be some kind of poker playing alien from outer space.
The first hand of the World Series 2005 Main Event, played between seasoned pro Sam Farha and actor / celebrity player Oliver Hudson.
• Farha gets dealt Ace 10 offsuit and Hunson pocket 10’s
Farha bets 200 - Hudson raises to 450 - Farha calls
• Flop comes down Ace Ace 10 …
Each making a Full House but Sam making the nuts
Check Check
• Turn comes Queen spades
Hudson bets 300, Farha raises to 1300, Hudson goes all-in and Farha calls.
Hudson is drawing dead and ends up the first player to go out of the Main Event, having made a fullhouse on his very first hand … Who could imagine it … Everyones dream first hand turning into a nightmare and certainly not the best way to spend 90 seconds and $10,000.
Sometimes the luck is with you and sometimes it’s against you.
