One interesting thing that does occur to me though is that the alleged and now confirmed cheating relied on seeing players hole cards in some of the highest stakes games – this IMHO underlines a couple of things …

a) Cheats of this nature are unlikely to target low / mid stakes games

b) In the event of cheating – there really are geeks out there able to detect irregularities and alert everyone and force the poker sites own security departments to take notice.

c) The RNG’s (Random Number Generators) themselves must be legit and unrigged … Otherwise why (with such access to the system) would anyone go through the hastle of actually playing the hands (albeit while able to see hole cards) if some sort of mythical master “doom” switch exists to be able to change / control the cards being dealt to players.

On a brighter note as a result of the Barcelona trip we will soon be promoting Cake Poker on 4kingpoker.com – Cake is open to US players and a site we have been watching closely to see if it would make the grade and gain enough players to become a site we would recommend … It has and we will.
